We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of an established and highly respected hospitality organization opening a new restaurant in Grand Rapids, MI. We are hiring an Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations for this exciting new concept. This full-time Executive Chef position offers a salary around $100,000 plus a competitive benefits package.

Executive Chef Responsibilities
• Lead all back-of-house culinary operations for a new restaurant opening
• Build, train, and develop a high-performing kitchen team
• Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and execution
• Maintain food cost, labor management, and kitchen operational standards
• Oversee inventory, ordering, scheduling, and kitchen systems
• Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards
• Collaborate with ownership and leadership on menu development and culinary direction
• Help create a strong kitchen culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and hospitality
Executive Chef Qualifications
• Experience as an Executive Chef or high-level Executive Sous Chef
• Experience in high-volume or upscale dining environments preferred
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Proven ability to manage kitchen operations, food cost, and labor controls
• Passion for hospitality, culinary creativity, and consistency
• Opening experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
• Culinary degree is a plus, but not required
